Who thinks that the ring had to be brought to Mount Doom and destroyed and who thinks that you could have hid it some were or who thinks the good people of Middle-earth could have used it as a weapon? tell me how you would have done it.
Me I think it had to be destroyed. But in the Hobbit Bilbo uses the ring to turn invisible not feeling the major strain that Frodo did. So it may have been used as a weapon just not tords Sauron.
The ring would have eventually given Bilbo the major strain that Frodo had. It is true that Frodo had the strain so quickly because he went to Mordor, but the ring still couldn't have been used for any long time. The ring could not have been hidden. It would have found a new master to possess, plus Sauron was already destroying the land with his orcs and the only way that he could possibly be defeated was to destroy the ring in Orodruin.

Yes there is a parshel invisibility using the lothlorien cloak. And an almost full invisibility is Ithildin. It was used to decorate gateways and portals. It was made out of mithril. You could put it all over your body and you would be invisible except under star or moon light.
I just thought of a way to carry the one ring to mt.doom bake it into a loaf of lymbus bread then eat the ring that way you wont be temted to put it on and the nazgul will have to kill you to get it

wasn't that funny at the end of rotk when bilbo asks frodo what hapend to the ring and frodo answers "I lost it" that would be funny if bilbo were then to ask "what happened to your finger" then frodo answers "I had an accident while choping some carots"

Me to. But anyways Pippin was not tempted by the ring he was just puting on an act for the Uruk-hai because if they had known they did not posses the ring they would have killed and eaten them.
Three Rings for the Elven-kings under the sky, Seven for the dwarf-lords in their halls of stone, Nine for Mortal Men doomed to die, One for the Dark Lord on his dark throne, In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie. One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them In the Land of Mordor where the Shadows lie.
