I think trolls are some of the best foot soldiers in middle earth.Just put some armor on them and give them a wepon such as a mace,flail,or battle hammer and send them off

Ya but you have to remember they arnt very smart. But I know a better warrior... Ents. They do not need armor because their bark is very tuff and they are faster and about 3 times stronger then trolls and a lot smarter too.

Ya they are easy er to recruit but they still are not as good as Ents. But ya trolls are awesome and they are a very powerful foot soldier!

what about a whole bunch of trolls lined up armed with battle hammers and maces in order to stop a rohirrim charge they may even have to stop the charge hen the orcs would move in to attack

That would work great. Hey all I am saying is the truth, that Ents are better then Trolls, it even says it in the lord of the rings the two towers book. But I will say Trolls an epic warrior!
