They arnt trust me it is stated in the Silmarilion that they are the same thing and that Goblin is just a synonym for Orc. The Silmarilion is written by J.R.R. Tolkien and he is not wrong about his own stuff. It is also stated in many other books written by J.R.R. Tolkien and edited by his son Cristifer Tolkien.
