Of corse I knew you were going to pick Rohan. I think Rohan would win as well because they have more alies and they have more calvery strength. So I would say Rohan would win, except, if Rohan was attacking Gondor at Minis Tirth than Gondor would own. Rohan dose not have the strength to break down there gates and especially when they were made of Mithril in the Forth Age.

you don't nesaserly need seige wepons to seige a castle as long as they keep the people from escapeing then they can just starve them into sumisson the seige wepons are just to speed up the siege and some seiges could take mounths or even years to finish

Ya I know that but Minis Tirith has those giants catapult things. They would deastroy them if they did not finish them fast then they would die. And the catapults are all through out the city so they could not kill all the people using them.

It is when They cant run away and they are just pulverising them. If they can't get in the catapults will take care of them.

If the siege people have their camp far away then the catapults can't get to them Olorin. However, Sir Cody, you cannot starve out something like Minas Tirith. Minas Tirith is a city. With stores and houses and plenty of food. The Rohan people would starve first. They would have to go back and get more food, which kind of ruins the point of standing outside the city and starving out the enemy.

It seems kind of obvious to me that Gondor would win. I think that you misunderstood his answer Sir Cody. He agreed with you on the 100 knights vs 100 knights but he said that if they were FOOT SOLDIORS then Gondor would win.

I believe Gondor would win that is what I think. Personally I like Rohan more, but I still think Gondor would win. First of all I believe Gondor has more allies including the Elves. They would side with Gondor most likely because of there old relationship. Gondor is also more military officiant over all, besides calvary. It is said the Numenor was very powerful, and no one could best them, except the Valar and Illuvatar himself of course. I am sure they have some of that skill left. Also I know that Gondor was not really prospering in the third age, but they were still very powerful! Do not let the movie deceive you of any information. It says in the book I believe that Rohan was facing poor and hard times and did not have great military strength. So I side with Gondor. Sir Cody you are a fool and can't debate things with anyone. You let your favorites rule your pick for what could be the truth. So stop it. But you will probably never get on here again.... O well.

It all depends on the time period, in the third age Rohan would win because Gondor was under attack from Mordor, however in the first or second age, Gondor would probably win because they had the great realm of Arnor. any further than the third age it depends on fighting style, if it was cavalry Rohan would obviosly win, however if it was infantry then it is more likely that Gondor would win. if it was a siege then it goes back to the ages because if it was the time of Helm Hammerhand then Rohan would win if they were defending the hornburg at Helms Deep, however any other time then Gondor would probably win defending Minas Tirith if it was an assult, however Rohan could starve them out because there are no farms in the white city otherwise tolkien would have it mentioned. there are no farms in helms deep but there is a secret passage through the mountains to get food, that only the house of eorl knows. in the time of Helm Hammerhand, there was a siege at helms deep where the men of Dunland tried to starve out the rohirrim but the eorlingas just used the secret passage and lasted a whole year before they defeated the men of Dunland. In conclusion, it depends however Rohan have the advantages of the hornburg and Dunharrow if there was a siege.

Rohan people will starve to death. They will have to go back and get more food, which stood outside the ruins, starved to death the enemy.

Who says Tolkien would have mentioned farms in Minas Tirith.  The city is too vast to mention everything.  Where do you think the farms were, if not in the city?
