Hey I was woundering who your guys'es favorite Valar is and why?

Ulmo. I just like him. I don't know why. My other two favorites are Morgoth and Manwe.

For me it is Morgoth because he is a Valar which makes him exstremly powerful, he has Grond he has thousands of orcs at his disposel as well as Balrogs Ungoliant (kinda) and dragons. And of corse Sauron even serves him. And for a short while he had all three silmarils.

why is it that some maiar and valar end up as inteligent beings (like gandalf) and some end up dumb (like shelob)

I would hve to say that manwe is kinda like zeus (jupeter in roman mythology) becuase the are both kings of the rest of the "gods" and they are gods of the sky

P.S. You may have read the Silmarillion Sir Cody. But you mist to many details to count. You need to understand everything befor you can surpass me. You need to know everything to be the best. Not just the story.

Stop saying that Sir Cody is wrong in this matter! He is not! He knows that they are the gods of lightning. He is merely pointing out that they are all, including Manwe, the kings of the gods (or Valar) and the kings of the sky. Seriously. You should be ashamed of yourselves! na if tulkas can wrestle morgoth to the ground and chain him up then he should be able to kill morgth matrixfight.gif like this and morgoth is red

Yes in a head to head fight Morgoth could own any Vala. But If Tulkas snuk up on Morgoth and chained him up and then stabed him that would work. But head on Morgoth would destroy Tulkas.
