wouldn't that be cool if balrogs could change shape. my reasoning for this is that fire never stays in exactly the same shape and balrogs are fire demons

There is speculation that they can. They kinda might be shape shifters. They are Maiar and Maiar can usually shape shift like Sauron can shape shift. And plus he is made of shadow so he might be bale to take on any form he wants like a demon with wings. And the fire is supost to be internal and they are supost to be mostly shadow. That is how it is decribed in the fellowship of the ring by J.R.R. Tolkien.

I know this is incredebly off subject but, When J.R.R. Tolkiens wife died he had the name luthien written on her grave stone, and when he died he had the name beren written on his stone. Because the story of beren and luthien was inspiered by him and his wife, like all most every thing that happend.

The shadow that bites and flys. The Dark Fire Drake. That is worth creating. As the Clarics of Arda, that is somthing we will have to get on top of! I like it!!!

thanks both those creatures have to do with fire so I thought a dragon balrog (give it the name dragog) would be a cool creature

A, Dragog. Interesting. I have made up a shadow dragon but not in Tolkien's mythology. Well, we are off topic!

Ya, but we are trying to invent a new race in a way. But I supose it is a gateway into a new topic. So one of you, preferably Sir Cody, should make a topic on this so called Dragog.
