Hey I am sure all of you have seen this creature in the Lord of the Rings Movies the watcher in the water on the west gate of moria. He lies in the lagoon there. Let us discuse the Watcher in the water and tell me your theoris. I do know that he was ether created by Morgoth in the First Age (because Morgoth created many things in the dark, Orcs, Trolls, dragons) or he was an evil spirt like Ungoliant and SHelob who both took the form of a giant spider. The watcher in the water probably took the shape of a kraken, but smaller.

I think he is a regular animal made by morgoth also I wonder if on sea maps of arda they draw the watcher or other sea monsters just like some sea maps in the middle ages

They do that with Dragons on the map. Any wase if he was an evil spirit then he wpould produce because Ungoliant is Shelobs mother and she had an offspring so maybe he did or has not yet.
you know the watcher is kind of like middle earth's version of the lock nes monster but better it isn't just spoted like nesy it attacks people. Beat that lock nes monster!

I guess it is kinda like the lockness monster. But is still suport my theory on a evil spirt. If it was just a creature of Morgoth then he would be weaker and even gandalf ran from him into Moria were the Balrog is!
You can't name somthing that can't be named. If you know what I mean. His name is perfect. The Watcher in the Water. That is acsacly what he dose so that is his dreded name. A dreded name to fit a dreded creature!
