Some people think that Sauron is just a giant evil warrior that can make magic rings and evil offsprings. Sauron is a Maia spirit and is the most powerful of all the Maiar spirits (even more powerful then Gandalf and Saruman). He was not allwase evil Infact Morgoth his master, recruited him to the dark side in the First Age. He is a warrior sorcer. He is called the necromancer for a reason. I just waned to clear up any misunderstandings that people might have. As a Maia spirit he is capable of many magical abilitys such as forging magical rings to control the other races of Middle-earth and turn them into his slaves (the nazgul). He can also do some similar magic of the Istari. He also had the ability to shap shift hints his huge size. I also have a hunch that he holds Morgoths mace Grond. Tell me what other magical abilitys he might have that explains his power.

On tolkien wiki it has a short description about his mace, but it doesn't have a name or anything so it may be Grond.

did you know the type of mace sourons uses is called a flanged mace also very deadly even if you have plate armor on it'l dent the armor

Yes I did know that Sir Cody. When I was young I studied the middle ages and I still retained some information from it. I am no were near your knowledge though lol.

Well you don't have to cut his fingers off to kill him. You have to remove the ring, and it dose not kill or destroy him, it just destroys his physical body. I don't think they know, but Elrond probably did he knows a lot of things, like knowing how to destroy the ring.

maybe he some how put his soul into the ring and if the ring is separted from his body it dies then if you destroy the ring his soul dies

Not all of his soul but some of it. Trust me on this Illuvatar. Why els would the eye of sauron die after the ring was destroyed and not die all the way when the ring was cut off his hand by Isildur.
