That sword was Narsil later re forged for Aragorn as Anduril Flame of the West. It was not an Elvish blade. In fact it was made by the Dwarve Telchar. Making it in fact a Dwarvish weapon lol go figure! And my favorite High-elven blade is Ringil see the weapons catagory and your favorite weapon and youle see why. But in a close second comes Glamdring, Gandalfs sword.

Well the Elves did and the Trolls probably found them washed up on sea. Plus I bet it was Eru's intention for the Trolls to get them. He probably told Ulmo to guild them to land so that the trolls would pick them up and latter on Gandalf, the dwarves, and Bilbo. And even latter the Fellowship of the ring. That is what I belive.

I dout anyone owned them, if someone had posestion of mithril and High-elven blades they would gard it will there life, even if they did not know what is was.
I would rather have my sword glow white when trolls are around becuase balrogs just are not that comman wouldn't you want your sword to warn you of something more comman like trolls and orcs

Sting is my favorite. Without it, Frodo and Sam may not have finished their quest and Sauron would have won. An example of this being in Shelobs lair, where Sam had to rescue Frodo. Does anyone know anything about the history of Sting?
