In the lord of the rings the fellowship of the rings book, in the Bridge of Khazad-dum chapter, it reads... "It rasied the whip, and the thongs whined and cracked." "Fire came from it's nostrils." "But Gandalf stood firm." This means that fire can come out of it's nostrils which implies that he could burn an enemie with his nose fire lol. So that might mean he can breath fire from his mouth, only on a biger scale. In the video games lord of the rings battle for middle earth 2, and lord of the rings conquest, the balrog can breath fire out of his mouth as an ability. I want to know how many of you think the balrog's can breath fire, and why?
P.S. I think that they can, just look at my theory above that is what I think.
I just thought of why the balrogs can't breath fire when gandalf is fighting the balrog at the bridge of moria the balrog could have just blasted gandalf with a burst of flame

No because they were to far away. Who said the fire would reach them. When you try and prove somthing you have to build up your theory and think it over before you try and prove it.
