I am going to make this topic diferent from all of the topics we have ever done on Arda.activeboard.com. I am just so amized at this peace of art by Ted Nasmith. It is a painting of the White tree of Gondor. The way the tree looks reminds me of snow! I just think it is so beautiful, I had to show it to you guys.
P.S. Post up above on the poll for your opinion of this painting.

Yes, but the flowers are pink. It looks nice and all but I lovde the way the snowy leaves look. O well agree or disagree. I am glad you al least like it. And I understand what you are saying anyways.
The white tree was made by Yavanna as a kind of resemblance of the two trees. And she gave it to the Elves on the Island of Tunna. And then the men Found it on Tuna and moved it to Numenor I think and then was braought to Minas Tirith whe the men came over the sea to Middle-earth. It is the same tree.
So, ya the white tree is a great and beatiful tree. Even better then the Mallorn trees. Because it was made in likeness of the tree Telperion the Silver. But I personaly like Mallorn trees better!
It was a gift from Erendil to Aldarion. Before Numenor was destroyed and the Dunedain left for Middle Earth they took seeds from the original gift of Erendil.

Ya that is a pretty cool image. But if Ted Nasmith just bends that tree a tinny tinny bit and then makes the trunk huge then it would be perfect for me!
