I was reading the part in the book the felowship were they come across the stone trolls that bilbo froze in the hobbit and I rembered that the trolls were talking but in the movies they only roar why is that?

I think trolls are some of the best foot soldiers in middle earth.Just put some armor on them and give them a wepon such as a mace,flail,or battle hammer and send them off

i dont like them because tolkien describes them as having stone scales and long mossy dirty hair mean while the one in the movies are bald and have smooth skin exept on their backs

I will tell you who or what they are just tell me what you think they are were they cam from and what the difference between them and trolls are. Although some of you might alredy know who they are. P.S. They are a type of Troll that serves Sauron.

I like the different wepons that trolls have like maces and battle hammers and I bet that the troll sword that you see in rotk could chop a man in plate armor in half but usaly a broad sword isn't a good wepon against armor
