I was reading the part in the book the felowship were they come across the stone trolls that bilbo froze in the hobbit and I rembered that the trolls were talking but in the movies they only roar why is that?

It may be that the Hobbit is a childrens story but I don't think the Tolkien would be that inconsistent.

ya. I know that. I was just saying that a Maiar created somthing. I know they were not Olog-hai because they were turned to stone. Olog-hai do not turn to stone from the light, like the normal bread of trolls.
