I was wondering who would win. An army of 5,000 Elves from Gondolin or an army of 5,000 Dwarves from the lonely mountain. Tell me who you think would win and why?
I think that it would be a long battle and it would look like the Dwarves were winning but the Elves would win in the end. Here's why.
The Dwarves would probably just rush onto the battlefield and start swinging their axes, killing many Elves. The Elves, on the other hand, would probably strategize a little bit more and in the end, win the fight.
It's a bit like the difference between a sprinter and a long distance runner. The sprinter will give it his all and only keep going for a short while. The long distance runner will go at a slow pace and after a while, outrun the sprinter because of his stamina.
So I think that the Elves would win.

I think that the Elves would win. Mostly because the Elves would have lots of archer support units, and the Dwarves wouldn't (Have you ever seen a Dwarf use a bow?)
Dwarves have great heart and amazing stamina. In the end though, I am afraid us elves would undoubtedly prevail against them. Our power is ancient and runs deep. We dare not underestimate our stout adversaries in battle, however. They would bring down many an elf and would not easily give up the fight.

I think I know why dwarves and elves dislike eachother so much because elves want to live in harmony with nature wile the dwarves just want to explote nature to get wealthy
