what do ents eat do the use photosinthis like plants or do they eat somthing certin

I am going to end this right now. Okay Ents may eat stuff and maybe they just drink from the Ent wash which makes them not hungery anymore. However I will say now Ents are not trees!!!! Ents do not use photosyntheses or how ever you say it. No sun shines through Fangorn Forest making it difficult to feed off of the Sun and they are not trees and evolution dose not exists in Arda. So do not say they are anything related to trees except in aperence!

eveloutinon isn't real and cathliocs don't beleve in it either so  I doubt tolkien would include it in arda

He included a lot of things that were not part of the Catholic religion. Plus, just because he was Catholic, doesn't mean he was a completely die hard Catholic.

He did kind of. The Enst did evolve! They evolved into treeLIKE beings (do not misunderstand me and think that I am saying that they evolved into actual trees).
